Hiroshima memorial day in Kiel Photo

Photographer’s Note

I've decided to dig deeper in my collection of photos to bring some variation from my recent posts from Cambodia and Malaysia. This one was taken in Kiel, Germany, during the celebration of Hiroshima memorial day. Lots of people gathered on the lake shore to place small boats with candles on the water.

This photo was taken with a HP C812 camera (basically point and shoot), so take this into consideration when judging technical issues. What I value most about this photo is the overall feel of it.

Siemka,
no trzeba przyznac ze odskoczyles od tematu i to bardzo. Aparat raczej nie dawal wielkich mozliwosci na superanckie zdjecie ale i tak nie wyszlo zle, ciekawe te refleksy od wody. Niebo troche sie przepalilo ale nie ma co sie dziwic jak prostym kompaktem robione :)

Hi Michal,
Beautiful blue hour photo, and the best part is that the sky is not totally blue. Very contrasty image--light on the top and darker in the middle but with nice colors and beautiful 'golden' reflection. I do like the feel of it! :)
