Photographer’s Note
Illuminated is the title for this photo.
It was taken one hot evening in Flensburg harbour.
Illuminated... the church is truly illuminated, it looked even more beautiful in real life.
Some people feel illuminated after going to church, relieved maybe. Maybe it is just what everyone should do, take the time needed and go to church/mosque/synagoge etc. and let your worries fall off. I'm not a very religous person myself, but there are always thing that really help me empty my mind.
I can't say for sure which church this was, but it surely was the most beautiful.
In addition I want to apoligize for the slight motion blur, this photo was taken hand held and I didn't really expect it to be this good.
You might notice a small square shape of a slightly different blue tone up towards the right upper corner, I had to "remove" a spot. And really... I'm not that good with photoshop... yet...
Enjoy it, feel free to share your comments and ideas.

Hi Odd Jarle,
Thanks for your note, very clear for your PP.
To me, your picture needs improvements. I won't tell you about the blurry aspect, you explain the reason why, that's OK. Don't worry, many of my photos are blurry too and I must find the solution to improve it.
I think you could improve the framing, I mean the illuminated church is too close for the center of the picture. Maybe you should have tried an horizontal framing.

Delphine

hi odd, floodlit buildings are not always easy to capture but you should definitely imobilize your camera. If you don´t have a tripod, you can try to put it on some object like for instance the small wooden pole you see on the left. even if you need some gymnastics to pull the trigger, I bet the result will make it worth.

Odd
The picture was there - you did everything right. Just needed to do one more thing and it involoved the use of a tripod or something to set the camera on. I also think the picture could be cropped to eliminate the piling in the fore ground. I'd go back another evening with the tripod.

Hei Odd,
Nice image, the whole scene seems to be out of focus. But composition, light and balanse in the photo are great. Good job. TFS.

It's a pity that this nice shot is blurred...
I wish to ask you to re-do it! :D
