Photographer’s Note
I always had in my mind that summer should be quiet, hot and dry.
I had a little trip to Flensburg, Germany, and I was simply amazed at how hot it was there those days I stayed. 30-33 in the daytime.
Ofcourse that could just be alright, it started clouding over and just a few minuted later it would seems that he flood gates of the sky was opened.
I poured down and I barely had time to get my camera under some cover.
Deciding to make the best of it I noticed a pond in the road that seemed to splash a lot when the cars run into it. That would look cool I though!
It wasn't easy though as most cars avoided the pond or simply drove to slowly to make a significant splash.
This one, however, did make one that was worth the saty at this spot.
I tried getting only the motion blur on the car, but it looks like the speed of the car draffed me on as well. Sorry about that!
Well, enjoy anyway!

Hi Odd, this is a picture that could have been excellent if you had tryed a "panning technique", that consists in keeping in focus the car while you are shooting, as i see your settings (1/25sec) i was the right one to make this possible ... i posted few days ago a picture of tour de france on which you can see this technique ... i would have loved to your picture like i explain

Hei gjenn Oddi,
Nice image, the moving car and water really make the image seem to come to life. Nicely captured. TFS.

dragonslayero,
I like the way you have captured movement on the vehicle. Good timing a nice POV. I hope your camera did not get wet!
Great shot!

Love the picture!
Just goes to show you what a good idea it is to have your camera with you and ready to go at all times!
The frame, the splash, the title, the car; everything; it all works.
Excellent photo!

Hi OJ...
I have been trying the "panning technique" that Sebastien explained above. At the moment I haven't done a good-enough shot for sharing, but I guess it's a good idea for this shot. :)
Anyway, the shot is truly interesting... I'll watch the next rain shower to see if I can do something similar... :)
