Photographer’s Note
The home port, how many people have stood on by the sea waiting for their loved ones to come home up through the times.
That longing look in their eyes scouting the horizon or simply just the bend in the river.
I was sitting in the docks of Flensburg one evening during my trip down there.
I just noticed the how the old look of the entire port looked so lonesome and longing.
I was hoping to get the same sunset as the day before but a heavy rainshower ruined all my plans, this was as good as it got.
Extra fact: I'm not sure if anyone can see it but the maritime museum of Flensburg is situated just at the end of this dock.
Enjoy.

Hei O.J.
Very nice composition, and detail. I like the mood in the photo, you really captured some of the history of every port town and city in the world. Very nice work. TFS.

A very natural colorbalanced shot along this quay in perspective enhanced by the standing frame leaving place for a view over the harbout. The people are a good extra as well as the fine gradiant cloudy sky reflected in the water. Well done Odd Jarle.

Hi Odd Jarle,
Been a while...how are you? A nice calm and pleasant image this one with relaxing light of the end of the day.Calm water with lovely long reflections and a mirror-like texture.I like the composition of the water braker and walkway drawing you in.I would have maybe made the cut more decisive (less sky).Nice to see at the end of a long day.Keep well.

Hei Oddi
A bit out of focus but a great view and with beautiful lines and amotsphere:) A bit dark posts that makes it difficult to see details..

I like the calm waters, but for some reason I think the picture is a bit dull. The composition is ok, but I got confused by the far right buildings. I wish they were not there. :)
I like the diagonals in the left portion of your composition, and that's why the right part confused me... :S I don't know if I expressed myself right...
