Kaffeekaennchen Photo

Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken in a café in Flensburg, the northernmost German city. It is said that this café is decorated with 1000 of these little coffee pots - obviously typical German bowls as foreign friends told me. They mostly contain two cups of coffee.

A pot of coffe - or better a "Kaffeekännchen", a piece of cake and a good chat - a wonderful afternoon pleasure - especially now in autumn when it's getting colder and more humid.

How nice to meet you, I do agree with your introduction note.

This composition is totally in keeping with the TE of goal of teaching us about the world. The pots are just my image of Germany; while the, 'Kaffeekaennchen at Work,' makes me wish I was there to join you with its sumptious detail!!

Great compostion. Well spotted and captured.
Very good sharpness. Colours are great.
Your thumbnail caught my eye immediately.
Very intersting to simply sit and slowly meander around all the pots looking at the great variance in shapes, sizes and colours. Thanks for the good note also :)

Guten Abend Frank,
ach, die schönen alten Zeiten! Eine recht reiche Sammlung, würde auch für ein Museum ausreichen. Am besten gefällt, dass die meisten Stücke die Sorgfalt eines Handwerkers aufweisen.
