Photographer’s Note
Saarbrücken, Germany.
12 min exposure, just before total darkness. Timed with handwatch camera stuck on the window (therefor no need for tripod!!)
Got a similar one from Slovenia (where landscape only lit by moonlight!!)

hi I'm new here on ET and discovering how varied the pictures can be!!!
This one is beautiful with those circular stars... I wish we could see that without a photo camera
One question: how did you know it was 12 min? (and not 10 or 15). Exposure is good, maybe the fact those house in foreground are so clear is a bit disappointing (actually they are not really beautiful -I hope it is not yours ;-)
But result is conveicing, so.... Try other places, other compositions, you could do even better!!!
bye!

Though the effet of the star trails warrants this photo in its own right, I really enjoy the tones and the vignetting the most. The mood is really nice, something of a dreamlike quality. I like how the sky transitions from light blue to black near the top as well. Unique POV, TFS
