Photographer’s Note
Good Morning Everyone,
My post, today, shows one of the many inns which are on the banks of the Moselle River. I chose this one to photograph because I was able to gain my desired low pov and because it had such a wonderful display of geraniums - nicely matching the umbrellas!
The shot was taken in a pretty town called Cochem. This town was well worth the visit. It had large, open squares full of engaging outdoor cafes (so appealing to British people), a delightful church and for me, the highlight, a fairtale castle perched high on a ridge.
I also remember the town for its outdoor presentation of local wines. My husband and I felt it our duty to sample one or two and give our honest opinions on the quality.
Many thanks for stopping by.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. Bev :-)

Hello Beverley,
I like this lovely "triangular" composition p with the bright flowers and umbrellas in the FG :) A very happy sunny view, very pleasant rich colours :)
A bit of luck also that there is still a trace of a jet plane left in the sky!
I wish you a very nice Sunday!
warm greetings from Moscow,

I wonder if they also painted the 'hostelry' sign to match the geraniums! ;D The extra-low POV is superb. We can imagine you staggering up the steps/steep path after doing your 'duty' several times. The wide angle works well to enable you to also include the church, but I guess the castle as well is asking too much! ;D. The polariser has done a great job to bring out the vivid colours. Well done

Hello Bev,
A good point of view on this lovely old inn and its flower bedecked terrace. Looks a good place to sit and sample the local brew, be it wine or beer :-) Good colour contrasts and excellent sharpness.

Beverley,
This is a nicely composed shot of this fine scene. The upward view of the building and wine garden works well. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail.

Hi Bev.
Those vapour trails in a well polarised sky look great. I love the colour combination here, the orange, green and blue predominantly. Great viewpoint making this keller look very inviting in the early Autumn sunshine, with the slightly curved hill behind making a pleasing diagonal. I'm wondering if you have any more shots of this nice little town.

Andrew

Hi Beverley
A good upward pov, with a superb warm cold colour contrast between the repetitive red umbrellas, & the intense, blue polarised sky. Good sharpness & framing. Tfs!

Hello Beverly
Good upward looking POV with fine colours thanks to the flowers, the umbrellas and the signage. The contrast with the blue polarised sky, quite ample thanks to the low POV also makes this appealing. I was wondering whether the distortion correction to the right is worth the effort as the steeple might get cut off..
Regards
Angshu
