Burg Eltz, vollständig erhaltene Burg am Fluß Elz, war mal als Motiv auf einer vielgebrauchten Briefmarke und auf dem 500-DM-Schein. Nach 800 Jahren immer noch im Besitz der Familie von Eltz und bewohnt

the backlight coming from the sun lights the castle, and I like very much the autumn leaves making a frame around it.

Hello Elvira,
I like your composition. The low angled light enhances the architectural features of the castle. It is also nice that the people (tourists) are included to add extra interest for the viewer. The colourful autumn colours top right are a nice touch however I would prefer if the leaves at bottom left and bottom right were not present.

un castello spettacolare, secondo me più bello di Neuschwanstein, ma è solo una mia sensazione. Il POV ne esalta la maestosità e la luce fa dei giochi di chiaro scuro.

A castle built on sides of the valley, beautiful take from the chosen POV, Elvira.
Autumn colors decorate the side's, but most notable are the three turrets on the steep facade.
Fine taken from a higher ground's, elements of the old built edifice are marvelous on picture.
One correction though: It was first built in the 9th century(a web page about the castle).
Thanks for enlighting my knowledge, never new about before.

Hi Elvira,
Light is just wonderful. Details of that castle show with strong contrasts against shady forest. Sunlit foreground details are well placed. And the high angle is impressive.

Fantastic composition, perfectly match the exposure, the people in the right corner perfectly located. In my opinion, a perfect shot, perfect in every way. There is everything a great light, the relationship between the environment, the landscape and man. That's what I'm looking for in photography. Maybe I give small minus to the tiny branches from the left and right side of the frame , but it is not that important.

I'm taking this picture to my favorites.

klasse Foto mit perfekter Perspektive. Die wenigen Menschen seht ja winzig klein aus. Serh gelungener Rahmen mit den herbstlichen Blättern. Das wäre doch was fürs elzsche Wohnzimmer. Ob die TE kennen?

wow, now thats a castle! When viewing places such as this in Europe, I can totally understand why people dont want to move to north america!

this view is fascinating, presented from an excellent point of view in a very well composed and framed photo. The architecture is very attractive and fairy tale-like, all the perspectives and details look very intriguing and the strong light plays with angles, textures and colours in a marvellous way.
