Photographer’s Note

Every year in August,Koblenz wins a place in thousands of hearts when it is time for the fantastic fireworks Rhein in Flammen (the Rhine in flames).
Europe's largest procession of ships,8 fireworks displays and 17 Km. of ornately decorated promenades on both sides of the rivers,

In the photo you see fireworks on the fortress "Ehrenbreitstein",
I took the photo from the Moselle bridge in Koblenz.

The fortress seems blur because of the smoke of the red fire around,where gives to the fortress this red light.

Eine wunderschöne Nachtaufnahme mit beeindruckenden Farben.Perfekte Schärfe am Feuerwerk und ein genialer Kontrast mit dem schwarzen Himmel.Auch die Spiegelungen sind sehr schön.

Indeed the firework looks like giant flowers above the city.
This is a very beautiful nightshot with a lot of different colours: the fortress Ehrenbreitstein is completely red while some houses have a yellow colour.
It's also a very good composition.

I like the contrast between the "flowers" with their free-shape and the linear reflection from the city lights in the water. Yes and of course - the colors - the black and red-yellow.

Hi Dimitris,
Beautiful view with many colourful elements. Fireworks flower is sharp and nicely formed. Illuminated castle give idea of the landforms on the river bank. And reflections on water look great on so many colours.
Panasonic just seems to give somewhat noisy result on long exposure.

Hi Dimitris,
A nice fireworks image, the explosion is well captured and the succession of elements in the height, first river then city, castle, firework, creates a good progression, he strong light on the river bank in the center are a bit overexposed but seems difficult to avoid if you want to get the firework correctly.

An diesem Tag war ich auch dort am Rhein - bin aber vor dem Rummel geflohen. Dein Aushalten hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Der Anblick ist atemberaubend schön. Ein eindrucksvolles Foto!

Sounds like quite an event! This is a wonderfull catch. I love the colors and the flower-shapes. Excellent POV!
I think I would prefer a 2:3 ratio cut, I think it will give a 'longer' feeling to this pic, I mean it will compliment the long lines of the fireworks.. Or maybe a square cut... Have you tried it?

Kalimera Dimitris,
Rhein in Flammen, ein echtes Lichtspektakel. Herrliche Aufnahme wie sich das Feuerwerk über dem Rhein und Ehnrenbreitstein erhebt, farblich beeindruckend die Spiegelung auf dem Wasser. Der Rauch auf der Festung gibt sehr eigenartiges Licht.

το ΤΕ είναι πολύ αργό και με΄΄εχει εξαντλήσει να περιμένω ως που να ανοίγει η κάθε εικόνα.
Θα ήθελα να σχολιάσω και άλλες εικόνες αλλά δεν έχω υπομονή, τις τελευταίες μέρες δεν το αντέχω.
