Photographer’s Note

This is one wall of the huge fortification "Ehrenbreitstein" vis-a-vis the mouth of river Moselle into river Rhine - 118 m above the rivers. It was constructed in the 16. century, 1801 demolished by french revolution troops. It's today shape was rebuilt from 1817 to 1823. It's one of the biggest European fortifications and belongs to the World Heritage "Middle Rhine Valley"
