Photographer's Note

Sometimes photos should be published anticyclically.
Olbrück Castle is situated on an Eifel hill of volcanic origin. While the castle itself is a ruin, the belfry (with a height of 33 m) has been rebuilt and is accessible to the public for a moderate fee, allowing a great view. Even Cologne Cathedral is visible at favourable weather conditions, though the distance exceeds 60 kms.
The castle is being reflected by the waters of Roddermaar, a lake of half artificial and half natural, but definitely non-volcanic origin.
