Photographer's Note
Hi TE friends, this is what I shot in my visit of Cologne and cologne cathedral. I like the atmosphere with street painters and the mimes in the front of cathedral.

Great use of extra wide angle lens. You put is into the picture perfectly. I can see the nice drawing and feel the atmosphere of the place. Well done!

Scarily sharp and long depth of field. I would like to see it pretty pretty large, as the very wide angle makes it sort of a wallpaper.

Hello Philip,
That's an unusual way to see the Cologne's Cathedral. At least, not a way I've seen before. I've seen numerous photos of the Cathedral itself, but it is a nice change to see it with people walking, talking, miming (!), painting... well living, just in front of it. The colors give also a nice touch here. The sharpness is outstanding without over-doing it.
Well, at this size, I must admit the mimes are not easy to spot. Without your note, I would not have seen them, and I can tell you that I really look carefully at the photos that I critique. But the painters are obvious! Quite a remarkable job they've done. And yours too!

Hello Philip
I'm lucky to have discovered your gallery... wonderful pictures you have. The wide angle has been used to very good effect here, showing us Cologne's landmark in an original way. The atmosphere is great around the cathedral, and the sculptures of the cathedral facade has been shown with superb details. Wonderful shot Philip
