Photographer’s Note
Sunday midday, almost no people, only some guided group and silence in EKO-House of Japanese culture built in 1992.
The weather wasn't too nice but the blooming trees and bushes were still beautiful.
What is the EKO House?
Consists of a Buddhist temple (the only Japanese temple in Europe), a Japanese garden and a house in the traditional style with tea room. Düsseldorf having the highest percentage of Japanese inhabitants in Europe, it is no coincidence that it was chosen as location for the temple. At the EKO-House, Japanese citizens cultivate their traditions and allow local citizens the unique opportunity to participate. Thus, the most important function of the EKO-House is the cultural exchange between East and West.
The library, to be established in the same building as the nursery school, will have departments of literature (incl. a collection of children's books), music and visual art. The science department will focus on establishing a collection on research into Buddhism.
Two publications of the EKO-House aim to get the public acquainted with its work : the scientific magazine 'Horin. Comparative studies on Japanese culture', and the semi-annual information leaflet 'EKO-Blätter'.
Regular events:
- Celebration of Buddhist festivals
- Tea ceremonies
- Garden parties with music or theatre performances
- Concerts

Witaj,
Świetnie to skomponowałaś. Mostek jest bardzo dobrym elementem prowadzącym oczy i porządkującym to ujęcie. Bardzo ładna kolorystyka i dobrze dopasowana ramka. Podoba mi się bardzo :)
Pozdrawiam
Kinga
