Cologne Old Town Photo

Photographer’s Note

Looking back...and exploring my drawer I came across this cloudy shot from Koln, the weather didn't greet me warmly but still it was quite nice:)
The centre of Cologne was completely destroyed during World War II. The reconstruction of the city followed the style of the 1950s, while respecting the old layout and naming of the streets. Thus, the city today is characterized by simple and modest post-war buildings, with few interspersed pre-war buildings which were reconstructed due to their historical importance.

Those typical houses are great, I like their strong colors and simplicity of structure. Great atmosphere, Congratulations. I feel like some German beer. Waiter!

Beautiful and colourful picture of the architecture in the centre of Cologne. The people on the terraces together with the vivid colours of the façades give the photo a pleasant atmosphere.

witaj, Smutno jakos tu kolonia wygląda. Ładne kamieniczki. Miałam jechac do kolonii we wrześniu, ale jednak nie pojade. Troche mi szkoda.

Ces maisons sont très originales par leurs formes et leurs couleurs. La prise de vue avec la ruelle au centre est bien choisie. Beau travail.

Czesc,
starowka troche podobna do naszych, ladne kolorowe segmenty. Tu tez trzeba bylo odbudowywac po wojnie. Ciekawy pokaz, troche bym zdjecie rozjasnil.

An interesting set of roof lines; makes for a fine graphical composition, which is enhanced by the saturated colours. Very good sharpness.

Fajowskie kamieniczki, fajowskie kolorki. Dziwne, ze na parasolach nie ma napisow: Tyskie, Okocim, Zywiec, Lech, Warka, Zubr, Dojlidy, Lomza.

Slonce chyba za chmurka bylo. Nie mniej jednak bardzo kolorowo na tym zdjeciu za sprawa tych fikusnych kamieniczek. Podoba mi sie klimat na zdjeciu- kawka, piwko itd...

Lubie te niemiecka schludnosc i dyskretna estetyke. I fajna architektura. Nie przypomina to naszych wspolczesnych architektonicznych "gargameli". Fajnie i maksymalnie duzo zmiescilas na fotce.
