Photographer’s Note

The Rursee, near Aachen and Monschau, in fact 3 artificial lakes, in a superb natural environment.
Here the view from north to the Rursee.
We went there on a promising sunny day, but the clouds became more and more there.
So, I tried grey and graduated filters and later on a black white conversion.

If you want to see this on 18th July, look in the forum, fire works are announced in the evening!

Le noir et blanc rend l'atmosphère particulièrement sombre et menaçante. Ces nuages donne toute sa force à la compo

Hello Didier,

Tu viens animer TE qui semble en léthargie ces dernières semaines. J'aime bien ce noir et blanc. la compo est toute simple mais l'accent que tu as mis sur ce ciel est très bien vu. Les hautes lumières nous attirent à elles. Le PP sur le ciel est un peu visible surtout à la limite terre-ciel mais cela reste correcte.
Joli décor.

Hi Didier,

Nice lake in the hills, very peaceful atmosphere. The bw choice makes it a bit sad. Impressive sky. Well, it would be nice to meet there, somewhere between interesting Aachen and beautiful Monschau. I have nice memories from there.

Very nice idea to present this scene in B&W. The lighting effect is enough to make it attractive. Well composed image - the sky is really important and it is clear that it should cover the most of the image.

The sky is amazing; almost biblical! The grad certainly brought out the detail in the clouds and all the varieties of grey in the palette. It looks like a beautiful place to visit and you found an excellent POV overlooking the horse-shoe shape of the lake.

Klasse Foto - schwarz/weiß ist richtig schön hier. Die Wolken sind voller Stimmung! Ein richtig gut gelungene Aufnahme!

Treffen am Rursee am 18.7.?! Ich bin zu dieser Zeit in San Francisco! Bock Mist! Aber wir werden schon irgendwo wieder ein Treffen haben!

J'aime le N&B et j'ai l'impression qu'il n'y a pas beaucoup d'amateurs sur TE. Alors, continue à en poster de temps en temps, cela me fait plaisir surtout de cette qualité.
En ce qui concerne la sortie du 18 juillet, je ne participerai pas mais je suis certain que je vais rater quelque chose.
