Photographer’s Note

When photographing this butterfly, I think it's a Comma (Polygonia c-album), sitting on a Rudbeckia bloom a bumble-bee came along from a neighbour bloom. For several seconds there was a calm and "civilized" cooperation ... please see workshop.

La fleur attire papillon et autre coléoptère ; la beauté de la composition est réussie : deux insectes d'un coup !
Bravo pour la mise au point très difficile à réaliser.
Une prise de ville qui pétille de couleurs et de beauté.
Ici, le ciel est mitigé, la grande chaleur s'en est allée.

La nature nous offre de belles couleurs comme ici et il suffit de figer l'instant,ce qui plus facile à dire qu'à faire.Beau papillon avec ses ailes étalées et l'ensemble est bien mis en valeur sur le fond vert hors focus.

Hi Frank,

Although it makes more sense to start with this photo and then to the WS photo, I like the WS photo better- it reminds me of how the Schwartzes eat. ;-)

Une image macro Nature peu commune dans ta galerie ;o) Superbe repas partagé entre papillon et bourdon. La réduction à < 800px diminue la qualité de l'image qui est bien composée et cadrée, avec un bon bokeh.

Mes amitiés de Vitrolles sous le mistral, et que je quitte demain pour "ma" Corse ;o)

Macro photography is a very difficult genre, especially with an SLR. You have managed very well to get the butterfly and its flower pin-sharp. I almost wish the bee wasn't there, (for the sake of the photo) but it makes a charming story.
