Photographer’s Note

La saison s'approche vite et le bâteau devient une fois de plus l'objet de nos pensées, et c'est ainsi que nous reviennent les souvenirs de notre dernier voyage. Voici une photo de Münster, ville où en 1648 on signait 'la Paix de Münster' , mettant fin à la Guerre de 80 ans, Münster devenait un évéché indépendant et restait catholique et l'Espagne reconnait les Pay-Bas.
The boat season is coming nearer and we start thinking about the coming trip. This also triggers the souvenirs about our latest trip to Germany, and with the souvenirs come the images. This one shows Münster. It is in this town that te 'Peace of Münster' was signed in 1648. Münster remaind catholic, Spain recognised the Netherlands and the 80 Year War cam to an end.

Belle photo, d' un endroit que j' aimerais visiter,car ces couloirs couvert sont facile d' accès et nous permettent de nous promener sans devoir sortire de la partie ombragée. Amitiés Thomas

Hallo John!
Ein schönes Foto von Münster mit diesem Arkadengang. Etwas weiter von links aufgenommen, hättest Du vielleicht noch Durchblicke durch die Säulen zeigen können. Das ungünstige Licht hast Du gut gemeistert. (Übrigens, warst Du mit Deinen Boot schon einmal auf der Lahn unterwegs ? Wunderschön!)

I love these arched walkways. Looking down the street you have captured the perspective and the repetition of the pillars. The people and reflections in the widows add extra interest.
