Photographer’s Note
Here I show to you the Prinzipalmarkt (Principal market), Münster's main shopping street since the Middle Ages.
The narrow houses with steep gables and arched arcades on massive columns were built by rich merchants in the late 12th century. The arcades make shopping possible in any weather condition. And it rains a lot in Münster.
In 1943 the old city of Münster was destroyed during a bomb raid. But soon after the war the city was rebuilt.
