Drachenburg Castle is not a real historic building at all, but was erected from 1882 until 1884 on a hill near Drachenfels (Dragon's Rock) above Königswinter in historistic, especially neoromanesque style by Baron Stephan von Sarter.
The view on the castle, mostly from left bank of Rhine river - is much more rewarding than the building itself, while the gardens really are worth visiting. They belong to the European Garden Heritage Network.
As far as the golden stags are concerned: you will find two other images at TE.

Its a very nice shot. Good composition and shadow/highlight balance. Two things that i think need correcting though. The perspective distortion and color saturation.
