Photographer’s Note

Burgplatz in Duesseldorf: Old Castle Tower, the remains of a 13th century castle, burnt down 1873. In the background St. Lambertus church, constructed 13th century, addend to in 1394, contains the tomb of Wilhelm the Rich, Ital—Flemisch Renaissance, late Gothic tabernacle, main door designed by Matare.

I like your postcard from Dusseldorf: lighting is so good, I like even the leaves on the ground and that bird standing on the streetlight. Well done, have a nice day!

Hi Lee Loo,

a nice and quiet place in Düsseldorf where time looks like standing still. I like the saturation you gave to the composition making the autumn leaves stand out: yellow, green and brown like the season.

Hello Lee,

I was three year ago also in Dusseldorf.
On the same place, I makes also this old castle tower.
Compositon and presentation are lovely.
Sharpness and clarity are superb.

Hi Lee Loo,
The compo is very tidy. The rectangle of the floor, the little wall and the candle on the FG lead the eye to the the castle, whose yellow walls seem to be getting the first or the last rays of sun. The dove on the top of the candle is a funny detail.
I like the "old postcard" appearance that is so usual in your posts, but I find the grain on this one a bit annoying.

Very well framed shot. The lamppost creates a good counterbalance to the buildings in the center/right and ensures that the left part isn't empty either.
