Photographer’s Note
The photo shows the building site "Neubau Block 10" of the combined heat and power plant (anthracite) close to the Rhine in Duisburg-Walsum.
Currently the power station "HKW Walsum" has an achievement of 600 MW. The new power station block will have an achievement of 750 MW. After completion the cooling tower will have a height of 180 metres. The chimney leftside is with 300-metre height one of the highest in Germany.
Unreal but true - the neighbouring coal mine will be closed soon and then the coal required for the power station will come by ship from Australia, China and other countries.
