Photographer’s Note
Take care of my ghastly English ;o)... The photo show one of the typical views of the Ruhr area (called Ruhrgebiet) in Germany. It was taken on the banks of the Rhine in Duisburg, the city which still be embossed by the industry (specially mining and iron-steel-industry). In the background you could see the new cooling tower (180 m high) from the anthracite power plant and right alongside the chimneys of the mine in Duisburg Walsum. It was a special day because the spaceshuttle "Buran 002" was carried on the Rhine to the Technik Museum in Speyer.

Hi Marina,
The title sounds funny, because I only think of factories when I read Ruhrgebiet. Yet, what makes the picture succesful here is not only the factories, but the contrast with the green field and that lovely sky. The space shuttle is a nice extra amidst all this. Good format!
Welcome to TE! Enjoy!

Hallo Marina,
schöne Aufnahme des "Buran-Tranportes", aber besser gefällt mir eigentlich der Himmel über den Industrie-Anlagen.. sehr schöne Wolkenstimmung..
Viele Grüße Bernd
