Here in Germany the Osterhase (Easter Bunny, Easter Hare) is a fantasy character depictred as a hare bringing Easter eggs. In legend, the creature carries coloured eggs in his basket, candy and sometimes also toys to the homes of children. This custom was first mentioned in 1682.
I took this photo in a little restaurant situated in the forests of the low mountain range Rothaargebirge north of my city, Siegen. It's called "Hasenbahnhof" that means “hare station”. I don't know why, but in my region there are several junctions with more than 5 hiking trails/forest tracks which have got the name "Hasenbahnhof". This little restaurant has this name because it's situated not far away from such a crossing in the forest. In map view you can see it some hundered meters north of the restaurant.

Hi Frank. Although I find this sort of anthropomorphic taxidermy not to my taste (as I think game should be either free or in a cooking pot), I do acknowledge your greetings and wish you also a Happy Easter (regardless of the fact that Easter was originally an ancient pagan celebration). Best wishes. Klaudio.

What a unusual scene you have captured of these stuffed rabbits dressed in clothes. Well managed, Tfs.
Happy Easter to you.

bei dem Anblick konntest Du nicht widerstehen, oder? Hast Du bei der Aufnahme auch schon an TE gedacht? Ein Klasse-Motiv für die Ostergrüße und auch ohne diesen Zweck ein wunderbares Bild!

I may have seen this picture before, somewhere else. But it is a funny picture and I think it is worth two points here on TE too!

Une image certes amusante, qui fait sourire, idéale pour fêter Pâques, bonne netteté , couleurs et le choix du format, belle idée :-)

So... Are you back? Very nice photo, and ver German, I think - one may think that it's originating from this country without too much looking at the name of the country.
