Photographer’s Note
Of course this particular spot is still the "way it was" a century or so ago. Sadly this is an exception in most bigger German cities though. To the left of the half-timbered house is a horrible modern addition that doesn't correspond at all with the centuries old building. So in a sense this picture is a bit of an illusion. No matter where you are, a "Bausünde" (construction sin) is just around the corner or even closer.
