Stocking up on some sunshine... Photo

Photographer’s Note

After this really long and rude winter all people try to stock up on some sunshine, some warmth - here in front of the general post office of Bonn.
The building from the 18th century originally was the palace of the capitulars of the nearby Bonn Cathedral.
In 1845 King Wilhelm IV of Prussia and Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom were present on the balcony at the unveiling of Beethoven monument.

All this hustle and bustle at his feet leaves the giant of Bonn cold as you can see in workshop ...

Hi Frank,

a nice picture showing one part of Bonn where people are relaxing and taking a sunbath which was badly needed after the rough winter. I did the same with my wife...a little walking of 5 km with some pleasant sun warming our face and neck.

Hi Frank,
This indeed has that special ambience of sunny spring days when everybode wants to take most of the sunshine. Cosy old time feeling, I would not have guessed it's from a city as big as Bonn.

Not so grey and rainy today in Germany, a very pretty capture, the POV you have taken is excellent.
A very good quality image, the sharps and exposure are first class, so too your composition.

I like this....i like strong contrast and deep saturated colours, just as colour photograhy is ment to be. That building, a real beauty and it seems well conserved during the years. People are nice, but for me that yellow building and big blue bold sky on top looks perfect....an image that pops out from your gallery, well done,

Hallo Frank,
A nice daily life photo, which also shows beautiful architecture and a statue of one of the greatest classical music composers of the whole history. This photo also is a good and welcomed promise of the summer to arrive eventually, the green trees being one sign and of course the people enjoying sun. Beautiful, well saturated colours and excellent clarity. TFS!

Bonjour Frank,
ces très bonnes lumières ainsi que sans doute l'utilisation d'un filtre polarisant donne de très bons résultats au niveau des couleurs et des contrastes.
Une photo bien cadrée qui nous fait découvrir une palce sympathque et les architectures qui l'entourent.

Hallo Frank,
als ob ich ein ähnliches Bild schon gesehen hätte... Sogar das Blau des Himmels ist aussergewöhnlich tief.
Allerdings sieht man hier die ganze Fassade des Postamts - kein Nachteil! Und echte Frühlingsstimmung!
