Photographer’s Note
For a Grand Panorama, on a rocky promontory, 3km (1.75 miles) to the southeast of Bernkastel Kues, stands Burg Landshut. Once the domain of the archibshops of Trier, the property dates from the 11th Century but long ago fell into ruins. You don't come here for these ruins, but for one of the grandest panoramas in the entire Rhineland and Mosel areas. Even the steepest slopes on the way to this belvedere are covered with vines.

Excellent point of view Hans. The addition of the vines creates a special atmosphere as if we prepare to attack the castle. Hidden by the vines, the attack is imminent. The foreground is sharp and contrast with the blue background.

A very beautiful composition Hans, the foliages of the foreground highlight the whole composition.
Thank you for the note of accompanying.
The small more on the photo it is the flag which floats proudly on the tower.
Very well Hans.

Colorido natural y adecuada profundidad.

Goede foto!

Nice shots of Bernkastel-Kues,
but most of the photos are not sorted right:
Bernkastel-Kues, Trittenheim, Leiwen, Trier, Irrel, Neumagen, Piesport, Zeltingen, Wehlen, Kröv, Traben-Trarbach are situated at the lovely river Moselle and belong politically to Rheinland-Pfalz / Germany (not to Nordrhein-Westfalen) !
Also Koblenz belongs to R-Pfalz,
Zweibrücken belongs to the Saarland / Germany.
If somebody needs certain photos of the Moselle-Area or the area of Bonn (or esp. of Mallorca / Baleares / Spain), please let me know.
