Photographer’s Note
The route to Bernkastel-Kues leads straight into a world where you will encounter cultural romanticism around every corner. Stunningly beautiful half-timbered houses, narrow streets and cosy wine taverns from a perfect setting in which to take a leisurely stroll.
Besides the unique beauty of a picturesque river landscape of vineyards and forests, this gem of a town offers visitors a typical example of a small old German town which has been perfectly preserved.

Wat een fleurige foto, de gevelrij uit een perfecte hoek genomen, juist rechts de lantaarn laten staan met de schaduw zijde erbij, Hans dit is een goede volgens mij, en ik denk ook voor anderen. Mooi werk!

What a beautiful street Hans! The colors are so nice and happy, and the architecture is classic and beautiful. You've captured what appears to be a narrow alley very well.

A festival of colors ! This is a charming street indeed, and I appreciate that there is nothing which could ruin this charm, I mean cars or a bus of tourists ;-)
I can't remember at the moment the type of camera you use, but the quality of this pic is really high.
Very attractive place, which goes straight to my theme about typical houses !
Congratulations Mr Hans, it seems that you never stop improving yourself ;-)

Hi Hnas, wat een romantische stadje! Zachte tinten, prachtige vakwerkhuizen, mooie lucht, en een lantaarntje dat daar zo lekker tegen af steekt. Mooi gekaderd door die muur rechts en de bladeren daar boven.

Very nice one, Hans. A quintessentially German-looking scenery that you captured with supreme detail and colors. Fine choice of shooting angle that includes this mixture of half-timbered and other architecture, and with wonderful details like the church (?) tower and the old lanterns. Beautiful shot.

So colorful, wel lit, and a very good chosen angle, Hans. I like these half-wooden houses and the way you kept some beautiful blue sky above.

too clean.. may be a touch of dust on this very old frontages reveal in them their real age . maintenance on walls is nice .. but here it's too much !! do you think during the medieval period aspect of the city was like that really ..

Hi Hans,
This picture is really good.
I like the colour of the houses and that street in between with the houses and the right side.
Good shot.

Beautiful collection of colours, but a lot of areas are underexposed. I give 2 points because I am generous.
- 19/8 Home again and on my own screen there are considerably less dark areas. The monitor in the internet cafe must have been bad. -

Bright colors and very very beautiful composition. Exposition is perfect. The light emphasizes well the colors. I would like to enter in your picture and to walk in this street. It's perfect.
