Horch 670 V12

Lors de notre passage à Wolfsburg nous avons visité, naturellement, Autostadt.
Voici l’intérieur – tableau de bord - d’un Horch 670 V12, construit en 1931, 6021 ccm, 120 PS ; vitesse maximale : 145 km/h.

August Horch (1868 – 1951), fondateur de la firme Horch & Cie en 1899 à Köln-Eherenfeld.
En 1932 il créa la firme Horch-Audi- DKW et Wanderer) à Zwickau.

Audi est la traduction en latin de Horch (Impératif du verbe hören = écouter).

Pour la petite histoire: Wolfsburg fût construit par les Nazis et s'appelait KdF-Stadt (Kraft durch Freude-ville). Le nom actuel date de l'occupation Americaine après la guerre et rappelle le château qui se trouvait à cet endroit.

Nice automobile. Good effort on your part, as automobiles are difficult to photograph - glare, shadows, reflections always interfere.
The name "audi" comes from August Horch using the Latin variation of "august", as was associated with the Auto Union which created some powerful racing cars in the 1930s.

Hallo John!
A wonderful shot of this oldtimer with a lot of details! The grain of the dashboard comes great! I must correct "diverjohn" because the German word "Horch" = "hear" (in English) translated in latin is "audi". August Horch left his old company to found a new one. Because of difficulties concerning the right of the name, he called his new company "Audi". No offense!

Dag John,

Daar zouden nu nog veel autobouwers een voorbeeld mogen aan nemen, een beetje grote cylinder inhoud maar qua interieur een beauty, toendertijd de tegenhanger van Mercedes, dat toen gekozen werd door de regeringspartij. Twee jaar geleden had ik de kans om eentje van dicht bij te kunnen bewonderen te Lokeren, opgeknapt en klaar voor transport naar Canada voor een aardig prijsje. John deze foto heeft u op een perfecte manier genomen, mooi gedaan.

Bonjour, cher John,
Une tout autre époque que cette vision de ce tableau de bord. L'amour du travail bien fait, l'utilisation de matériaux nobles. Cela fleure bon le cuir, le toucher du bois, les différents compteurs cerclés d'un joli métal. Le levier de vitesse indiquant sur le pommeau les différents passages. Bref, je suis conquis.
Bravo, John, pour cette excellente prise de vue (tous les détails ressortent à merveille).

Hi John,
Beautiful details on this old car. I'm not sure if this is taken with a flash or spotlight, but it works exceptionally well without toom much reflections and in balance with ambient light.

Hi John,
A crisp clear close-up view of this restored interior. Despite some slight glare, this is first rate work, with a fine perspective that gives the viewer the feeling of being right there. The exposure level is just right and there is good sharpness. Well done, with an interesting note...demain.

C'est curieux les moteurs d'antan !
Il déeloppaient plus d'une centaine de chevaux pour atteindre des vitesses peu élevées par rapport à nos jours.
Intérressant apperçu du tableau de bord en noyer; flash un peu puissant pour la proximité du siède avant; mais c'est difficile à ajuster.
