Photographer’s Note

The pond is part of the baroque Karlsaue in Kassel. In the southern part of the pond is the small island. The trees are now wearing an autumnal garb. During the warm season, there can observe many rare birds - above all gray geese and herons. If the pond is frozen over in winter, you can reach the island on foot.

The milky sky makes an excellent backdrop to showcase the beautiful autumn foliage. The shoreline is well positioned in the frame to take full advantage of the lovely reflections in the lake. Really, a very appealing image and a fine celebration of the season.

Na, heute herbstelt es aber ganz schön hier auf TE! Auch Dein Foto zeigt diese Jahreszeit von ihrer besten Seite. Besonders das Gefühl von Ruhe kommt hier eindrucksvoll zum Ausdruck. Ein Foto, das einen verweilen lässt ...Interessant ist, dass das Himmelsblau erst im Wasser zur Geltung kommt - ein toller Effekt!

Really beautiful autumn color image, I love the misty atmosphere, I can see the light layer of fog in between layers of the trees. Good composition, beautiful reflection. I like the fact that we can see more of the blue sky from the reflection than the distant horiron of haze and fog. Great job. This is among your best.

There is so much beauty in autumn which you hae shown off in a very attractive way, in your shot.
The off-centre focal tree is amazing and how wonderful that it is duplicated in the mirror-like water!
Your composition gives maximum attention to the reflection, well judged, for the colours are deeper in this part of the shot.

der Himmel ist nur mäßig attraktiv (kein Wunder im Herbst), desto schöner sind die Bäume in herrlichen herbstlichen Farben und die perfekten Spiegelungen. Der Gesamteindruck ist hervorragend.

This is a fine setting and a wonderful autumn palette!
A delicate landscape recording with fine details, and the mirror lake doubles the pleasure...
