Photographer’s Note

golden october??????
maybe the colors,
but not the temperature.
Since one week it`s unusual cold in Germany.
Last night was the fourth one in october below zero in Mannheim ,my hometown,about 90 meter above sealevel.
When I drove to Lampertheim where the national reserve " Biedensand" is located it was sunny,but when I arrived I had to wait about 15 minutes for some sunshine.
To have some light at the grass in the foreground I used the flash here.

Hello Andreas,

A very beautiful harmony of the colors on this photograph nicely made up. I like much the balance of the image and this splendid sky which gives a good relief to the landscape. You have chance to have of so beautiful autumnal colors because here, on Versailles, it is still green or then the sheets fall !!! Thank you Andreas.

Hello Leo ,
I like a lot the great contrast between the right part , so green and a little shady , and the luminous golden trees in the left . The sky and the reflection are superb , too .

of course I like the sky, the contrast between yellow trees on the left on the fall side, and the green gras on the right, on the summer side
The reflection of gold on the pond is a plus
The golden october for you, the pink october for me, but not at all on the same topic

That's really a lovely shot, Leo.
The colors are sublime. Wonderful POV looking down the river (or up..), beautiful light, excellent clarity. I love the result on the grass you got with flash and that sky is awesome. No wonder it's a favorite spot. Great job!! Many thanks and warm wishes,

maybe cold, maybe you had to wait for some sunshine but the effect is superb. fantastic contrast of the golden tree and its reflection and the green reed. We are not so lucky, the weather in warsaw is awful.

This is a fine autumn colors shot. The river leads the eye through the shot nicely. The reflection add nice depth and balance for the shot. The lighting and colors are fine and the photo has excellent sharpness and DOF.

Ah, a not-so exotic shot from LEO this time! Yet, it really is quality work. I particularly love the Monet-like part in the left bottom of the frame. Great composition, brilliant autumn colours.

And yes, it IS cold!

du solltest es soch wissen:
Kälte, Hitze, Hunger und Durst sind - was:
Mitteleuropäische Einbildung!?!

Hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt. Tolles Licht und guter Ausschnitt. War gestern Morgen nochmal da - keine einzige Wolke am Himmel. Sieht zwar bunt aber irgendwie unvollständig aus.
Ich poste mal eins.
