Photographer’s Note
The Orangerie, a palace built in 1710 as a summer residence for the landgraves. Today there is also a planetarium in the park.
The meadow before the Orangerie is an ideal place for open air concerts.

Wolfgang,
Excellent composition here with the flowers and wall adding depth and direction to the shot. The angle of the main building is nice creating a diagonal through the shot leading the eye from left to right. The lighting and colors are fine as is the photo's sharpness and DOF.

Asa

Very good mangament of light give beautiful colors and contrast under an impressive sky well collected. the POV, well selecetd, and the FG with the flower give a great dephrt to the image. zu diesem Meisterwerk kann man nur Glückwunsch sagen! Hier stimmt alles, vor allen Dingen die Perspektive ist sehr beeindruckend. Exzellenter POV mit dem Agapanthus im Vordergrund. Die satten Farben sind ebenfalls sehr gefällig. TFS!

Hi Wolfang,
A very successful composition with with the balustrades as diagonals. Very deep and saturated colours. The clouds look very heavy and low, like they very close to the ground!
Kind regards

HI Wolfgang,
wow..this is very dramatic indeed. i like the dense and ricjh sky along with those puffy clouds. Really exciting. Besides that, the light and the perspective is very beautiful and a terrific piece of presentation.
Really brilliant landscape here.

ciao Wolfgang,
edificio che mostri in tutta la sua bellezza con un'ottima definizione e dei colori stupendi.
Ottima l'inclusione della pianta in FG a dare profondità all'immagine.

Hello Wolfgang,
I am catching up on archives after an absence and have come across this beuaty -- a superb photo of a remarkable building. I have to admit that my eye isn't often drawn to northern/German architecture. Your composition, using the wall in the FG, compresses the huge space very comfortably and makes the palace most inviting. The colors in the strong but stormy light are spectacularly complementary. I especially like the way the agapanthus balances the blue and green of te sky and the lawn. Excellent!
Best regards,
Mary
