Landing in Frankfurt

Between Vienna and Lisbon, I was in Frankfurt airport to change the airplane

The weather was so good and I took this picture with the lens 70-300, when arrived to German airport.

The quality could be better, but I had some difficults to fixe the camera

Frankfurt am is an international airport located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, 12 km (7 mi) southwest of the city centre. Run by Fraport, it is by far the busiest airport by passenger traffic in Germany, the third busiest in Europe and the ninth busiest worldwide in 2008. It serves the most international destinations in the world and is the busiest airport in Europe by cargo traffic. The southern side of the airport, Rhein-Main Air Base, was a major airlift base for the United States from 1947 until late 2005, when it was acquired by Fraport.
The airport is directly located in the Frankfurt Rhine Main Region, Germany's second largest metropolitan area, which itself has a central location in the densely populated region of west-central Europe. Thereby, along with a strong rail and motorway connection, the airport serves as a major transportation hub to the greater region, less than two hours by ground to Cologne, the Ruhr Area, and Stuttgart.
There are plans to expand Frankfurt Airport with a fourth runway and a new Terminal 3. First modifications to the airport to make it Airbus A380 compatible are completed, including the first building of a large A380 maintenance facility near the former U.S. Air Base. The work on the fourth runway has been delayed several times due to environmental concerns, but received zoning approval in December 2007. The runway could be in operation by 2010.
Frankfurt is a hub of Lufthansa, the German national carrier. Lufthansa's secondary hub is Munich Airport where many key medium and long haul routes are available, lessening the need to overburden Frankfurt Airport.

Ótima aérea com bastante qualidade técnica! As cores, a diagonalidade das formas das plantações e do rio (canal) e a presença das construções que contrastam em formas e cores, tudo ficou muito atraente e bonito!

Joli ce graphique offrant une belle diagonale bleue. Les couleurs des différents prés cultivés sont très variées et les toits rouges ajoutent leur touche de chaleur au milieu de ces teintes froides.

O tempo parece perfeito para fotografias. É raro ver uma foto tirada de um avião tão nítida, com tão boas cores e tão bem composta. Gosto imenso do padrão quase geométrico e as texturas daqueles campos e do canal a reflectir o azul do céu.

Tu as eu le temps de réaliser une excellente composition avec cette belle diagonale créée par le canal. Même si la netteté n'est pas maximale, la photo reste très réussie et agréable à regarder.

Agriculture in Germany seems well organized!
Straight roads, straight canals and square fields...
I like the composition with the strong diagonal, and the red roofs on the farmhouses stand out well!

une photo très graphique et je devine que c'est ce que tu as recherché, un patchwork très coloré avec un POV en altitude idéal. J'aime beaucoup aussi, la diagonale faite par le canal.

Hello Aires,
great aerial perspective to the various colored fields and the diagonal canal seperating them. I like your composition with the red roofs of the houses in the bottom right corner and the blue of the canal seperating the green of the fields. The overall quality is not perfect but still very good for a capture from a plane. Well done, I like it.

A nice shot from the airplane window. Like the strong diagonal of the canal with contrasting colour with the green cultivated fields on either side. The palette of colours makes thsi very nice. Well done!
