Photographer’s Note

This colorful tower is part of the old customs house in Rüdesheim. Rüdesheim is a winemaking town in the Rhine Gorge and thereby part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It lies in the Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis in the Regierungsbezirk of Darmstadt in Hesse, Germany.
Rüdesheim borders in the east on the town of Geisenheim, in the south on the town of Bingen, in the west on the communities of Weiler and Trechtingshausen (all three in Mainz-Bingen district in Rhineland-Palatinate) over on the other side of the Rhine, and in the west and north on the town of Lorch.
Rüdesheim is know for the Drosselgasse. Drosselgasse is a magnet for thousands of visitors every year. Lined with wine bars, bistros and restaurants, it is the epitome of the relaxed, good-spirited wine culture that the Rhine region is famous for.

Hello Asa,
A good capture of this old tower, which is shown off to good effect under the polarised blue sky. I like the point of view; just a pity about the street furniture but not a lot you can do about that. Very good colours and clarity.

A fine result here Asa with the overall blue and white effect. And of course the polarizer perfect for such a setting.
Also pov a good choice to have interest to the tower as your main subject.

This lovely red and white castle is seen in all its intricate detail as it stands out wonderfully against the vivid cloudless blue sky.

Hi Asa,
An intriguing construction, at least for a customs house, as it reminds a kind of mix of lighthouse and castle tower. It's curious also that it looks to be in the countryside. It's an eye catching image, for its strong colours and the low POV that makes it stand out much. The lines of the street aid the compo, enhancing the perspective and subtly framing the lower part.

Hello Asa,
very sunny colours! A vry cheerful, bright combination of white and blue! (the very top seems to be a bit too polarized, though, but that's ok I guess) Excellent POV, very good composition. Very interesting reddish details of the ornament (did I use the right word?) of the tower at the top of it.
Concerning the very bottom, I might try cropping the very bottom (with the litter bin)...

Bonjour Asa,
un filtre polarisant qui a très bien joué son rôle.
Un cadrage interessant, une contre plongée mais quelques éléments perturbateurs à l'avant plan comme cette poubelle et ce panneau de signalisation.
Un petit recadrage aurait été bien utile.
