Superb capture and beautiful soft light, Wolfgang. The symmetry is striking but quite intriguing is the 'missing' reflection of the dog in the water. Of course, that's because the dog is too far back from the bank - but it makes you look twice! Cheers . . . David

Hi wolfgang,

Nice one. This one works better for me than the landscape layout you posted earlier! Perhaps it has to do with the tightness here. Two trees really border the composition and the feel of symmetry horizontally and vertical is nice as well.

Das ist perfekt! Schoen komponiert, nur mit wenige Farben, ohne stoerende Kleinigkeiten - Nebel war auch sehr hilfsbereit hier. Atmosphere ist lecker ;-)

An excellent minimalist composition that is filled with atmosphere. Good use of the vertical format to emphasise the height of the trees compared to man and dog and also allows the inclusion of those rather ethereal reflections.

Crystal clear reflections and some intresting details caught in the middle. The missing reflection of the dog is a plus. I wonder where those red tones come from and if you considered trying to remove them. Great work.

Wolfgang, this is a beauty!
Minimalistic and elegant composition, very well framed and cropped, perhaps.
The slight angle of the bank of the lake or pond is important in because of its position so close to the vertical centre, and you have enough symmetry anyway! The fading of the green grass into the fog is marvellous. I like the simple figures of the man and his dog, and you caught them in perfect positions. The trees and reflection make for the symmetry, but the other elements I have mentioned make a nice flaw in that symmetry. Beautiful shot.

Yesterday I was going to write a critique for the previous one, but something came up and I forgot. Now I've chosen this one. I don't know why but I like the vertical cadrage and tight crop better. This is a nice spot to photograph with the reflections and the serenity of the place. Very well-done.

I critiqued this in one go to drive a comparison between the two shots. I like this for the 'feel' of the fog. The reflection herelooks good too. However, I liked the previousone more for the vast openness it showed.

ah ich sehe du hast ja noch ein anderes Bild aus dem Park, diesesmal mit einem Mann und einem Hund statt dem Jogger, gefällt mir richtig gut!
Die Spiegelungen sind toll, die Atmosphäre klasse und der Mann und der Hund 1a. Richtig schön!

it's interesting how this photo creates a completely different mood from the your previsous post of the same (I assume it's the same) foggy park. here the feeling is more like in autumn, smeel of the fallen leaves in the air, opening of the hunting season (I guess that's the association I get from the man and the dog). in any case - another beautiful and moody photo, I like it a lot.

Bittersüße Melancholie herrscht hier vor. Die eher trübselige Witterungsbedingung hast du hier sehr gelungen ausgenutzt für ein sehr stimmungsvolles Foto. Blickwinkel und Frame-Gestaltung gefallen mir sehr gut – insbesondere, dass du die Reflexion auf der Wasseroberfläche integriert hast.

Une composition très plaisante. Ce que j'apprécie et c'est ce qui m'a frappé à la lecture de cette image, c'est l'absence de reflet du chien. C'est pour moi le détail qui donne un plus à cette photo.

Better than the previous one thanks to the vertical framing, which gives much more emphasis to the reflection in the water. Very nice catch of the walker with his dog, near te statue.
