Man's best friend gets an ice cream - of course.
When I pressed the shutter button the first time nothing happened, because the camera was not turned on. But the time was enough to turn on the camera and photograph the scene. I learned my lesson to always leave the camera switched on for a stroll.
A snapshot - of course.

HeHe, I can't count the number of times I have done that, forgotten to switch the camera on! Anyway, you had a second chance to capture this charming street scene. Well taken and nicely presented.

like you and stephen, that has happened to me, too. i've learned to always walk with the camera on, and two extra batteries in my pack.
sweet scene, especially with the young woman turning around to smile at the happy pup. so glad you had time to nail this one :)

I think it could be marked by humorous genre too.
Amazing street scene, the girl on the right side is just a good bonus for this funny composition. Thanks for smile!

Hello Wolfgang, very good picture of this interesting scene with the entire family eating ice cream, very well captured in this perfect image, with good sharpness, light and color. Very good job well done, congratulations my friend. Thanks for sharing this interesting work.
Good afternoon and happy Sunday.
Best wishes from southern Spain.

A very good picture and possibly even better thanks to the delay of taking it. If the camera had been switched on, you probably hadn't captured the girl to the right in this position. Her way of looking back, with a smile, is a very fine part of the composition. The other people are very nicely positioned around the dog and the red signs in the window form a fine background. One question comes into my mind: did the man finish his ice-cream for himself after the dog had it's share?

A quite touching scene, where everybody are enjoying their ice creams. I also guess that your secret to always get such fine street pictures is to always have your camera ready!

Nice catch ! Everybody seems happy and smiling with dogs ;)
Why would'nt it be possible with humans ?

I presume the dog didn't need "kompetente beratung", as written in showcase, to know how to eat icecream!
I consider the owner is buying faithfulness, though!
Well-spotted daily life scenery.

Lovely scene Wolfgang- so much interaction amongst people and dog and people and people. Nice how the girl on the left directs our attention to the young woman on the right who brings us back to the dog and the owner.Everyone is enjoying the ice cream!Best regards. Klaudio.

as i dog owner and dog lover, how could i resist this one!
I think the woman on the right actually makes the scene because she's looking back with joy, not wanting to miss the action - therefore it makes me want to not miss anything too.
the red bg color works well for contrast and the dog is the star! :)
I do the same for my dog!

sehr gut beobachtet und ausgezeichnet umgesetzt. Der Betrachter bekommt den Eindruck, selbst anwesend zu sein. Wie gut, dass die Kamera beim ersten Versuch ausgeschaltet war.

I already found "The Passage" earlier and now I see, that there's a lot of street-photography on your TE and I like that, so, I will visit your place later to see more of these wonderful photos.
Like this one, it's such a beauty, not only for the "main details", the man, woman, child and dog but the smiling lady makes the photo:-))
