Gleanings from the documenta 13. Many works of contemporary art are still in memory. One of the works of art was a circular dark tunnel.
The photographed woman enters the tunnel at this Moment. The walk in the dark is a special experience of the people.

une très bonne photo N&B, j'aime beaucoup la lumière et la forme du tunnel.
Très bonne présence de la personne.

An advanced use of shadows and light. This is a very artistic picture. But I feel a slight eerie mood here, something made me think the the old film "Clockwork Orange". I don´t know why, but this this girl here looks quite friendly.

Hi Wolfgang, A nicely composed picture. Good show of light and shades. Good exposure and nicely framed.

You have handled the light and darkness masterly in this photo, which from an artistic point of view rises far above the average TE picture. The greyscale covers every tone imaginable and the girls is well placed, surrounded by the distinct round dark shape to the left and her own rounded shadow to the right.

Very good use of light, with a hint of the expression in the woman's face. Have some doubts about the square framing, but can not think of anything better...
And, of course... this is 'naturally' a B&W photo (could never imagine it in color).

Hi WOlfgang !
Very nice idea ! How long exactly did you stay hidden in the dark waiting for your target ?? !! LOL

A most attractive and successful study in light and shade. The lady, who has a very attractive facial expression, is ideally placed and beautifully lit. Excellent photography.

On se croirait presque dans le générique des films de James Bond. On voit presque le célèbre espion prêt à sortir son arme. C'est vraiment très bien fait.

wow, love the light through the curved tunnel. A very good composition with the lady, who is perfectly placed in the frame. A good one. Tfs.

Hi,your presentation of this tunnel is very artful and creative as a first class B+W.I am not so sure about the original idea for this tunnel.Friendly regards,Wolf.

i love b&w photos, photos with grains, photos with shadows, photos with deep contrast of light & dark, photos from museums, photos with square format and photos with "light at the end of the tunnel". you have them all here. i wish i made it!

Love the light here. And the B&W conversion is really well-done. This young woman doesn't seem to be scared of the dark ;-)!
Angshu (56190) 2013-08-08 2:26
Good work with the shadows, as that is the most important part of the picture & makes it attractive..she smiles here as you clicked. Perfect picture in B&W

This is a trememdous piece of photography with its simple lines and a human element. I love the grainy b/w effect. Very good tonal range.
Best wishes, Ann

Again I stop at one of your monochrome postings. There's something about b/w that seems more "arty", which sounds terribly pompous! Maybe it's to do with the resultant emphasis on line, composition and tone; maybe it's because it's another level removed from "reality"; maybe it's because it looks less like a postcard... I like the strong shadows, and especially the girl's face in strong side-light. Good work.

Smiling lady brave enough to confront Jack the Ripper in his den of Whitechapel district.
Artistic study in black that constitutes a "riveting" clair-obscur!
CLODO (30836) 2013-09-12 6:53
the tube acts as a reflector and disperse the light, the lady is just well lighted and delighted to be taken inpicture.
Good B&W mood too.
