Photographer's Note

In my area there is the so-called Karlsaue. I am often there - in every season. Now in the winter everything is covered with snow. The temple in the middle of a pond is of course a photo opportunity - like many times before.

Wikipedia explains:
"The Karlsaue Park is a public and inner-city park of 1.50 km ² in Kassel (Northern Hesse, Germany) It was redesigned as a landscape garden in 1785 and Consists a mixture of visible Baroque garden elements and arranged." natural areas ".

This is a very clever composition, juxtaposing the twisted branches of the tree with the temple. The snow covered field and the cool tones evoke a cold winter's day. A fine presentation, I like it.

We know it at each season but this one is again a splendid one, naturally and originally framed by the tree at FG
The delicate winter light and blue-gray colors are beautiful and bring serenity to the compo

Hello Wolfgang,

Such places are attractive.
I have places in my village which seem to draw me to them!
I love how you have used the tree trunk to make a very original and textured frame through which we see the temple, strongly positioned. The small patches of green stand out beautifully in this otherwise monochrome shot.

I love this shot Wolfgang - it is both creative and beautiful. I recognise the temple from previous shots but this one is exceptional. Initially, it is the detailed branch which catches the eye as it stands so well against the snowy ground. It is only later that we see the wonderful background with the delicate lacy branches and the green roofed building. Wonderful work. A pleasure to see. Warm regards rosemary

you have composed this very well to create a great foacl point of the temple which is perfectly sharp. you have used the branches in the foreground tree in a very imaginative way to add a further layer of interest and create depth to the image. a wonderful wonter scene with the snow on the ground. superb detail, depth and sharpness throughout.

erstaml ein gutes neues Jahr für Dich, ich glaube, ich war 2013 noch gar nicht auf Deiner Seite.
Ein schönes, gelungenes Foto, der Cyan-Ton unterstreicht die Kälte und der biszarre Baum sorgt für einen grafischen Vordergrund.

We have seen this little temple before here on TE and here you show us a very beautiful and natural work of art as an interesting foreground. It looks quite cold here but very calm and peaceful.

A well presnted image with the season captured well by the frozen, leafless tree. An almost monotonal shot except for the grren on the tree bark and the templed roof. The cold is portayed well by the overall colour temperature of the shot. Nice near-far effect createdd between tree and temple to give depth. Well composed.

Hello Wolfgang,
This is probably not the famous "blue hour", just the weak light of winter in northern Europe. Nature has provided an abstract sculpture to fill the foreground, the famous temple discreetly seen in the background. It is impressive that you can visit this park so many times and always find new angles for a photo.

I can only congratulate you for this exquisite shot.

I really admire the cold colours that are flirting with monochrome hues, with the exception of the green dome. There's an obvious quest for a clever composition with natural elements and the result is remarkable. I like the daring proportions, the way the space is organized and the sense of peacefulness. I am convinced that only your shutter broke the silence of that moment.

It is sometimes difficult to find the inspiration to shoot around our own area and I salute your initiative.

Hi Wolfgang, I like the simplicity of this one: the shape and form of the bough and the starkness of the dark wood against the pristine snow. Excellent light helps to illuminate the one colourful note, the green roof of the little building in the background. On the whole, a charming, eye-catching composition. Well done.

auch wenn der Baum die Aufmerksamkeit fesselt, so ist es doch der wunderbare Pavillon, der wieder die Hauptrolle spielt. Eine sehr schöne, überzeugende Komposition mit einer wunderbaren Stimmung - wie aus einem Märchen!

Am 14. Januar war ich am Ngapali beach in Burma, weit weg von Eis und Schnee.
