Everything under heaven belongs to everyone - this is the German title of an exhibition of contemporary Chinese art in public places (Kassel). The exhibition is at 20 inner-city locations from 2nd October 2012 until 18 February 2013. The sculptures and installations are a contribution to CHINAH, the Chinese Culture Year in Germany 2012-13th
The photo shows the FAT MAN of Chinese artist Mou Baiyan. The sculpture looks from the outside in a window of the New Gallery.
Additional note: The Fat Man is about 2.50 m to 3 m high. It really is a big baby.

Hi Wolfgang. It it quite an amusing image, but somehow the point of such art escapes me- unless it's a warning that we are heading towards that size! In Australia we are the second fattest people on earth. Nice composition and POV. Regards. Klaudio.

A good excuse for a few laughs! Well taken shot of this unusual sculpture, the humour of which is accentuated by the curious pose and position. Top class realisation.

I prefer this one to the previous one on the same theme.
Funny situation well focused and lighted with a lateral sun enhancing the position and shapes of this sculpture.

J'aime beaucoup cette oeuvre. On dirait que le gros homme est un voyeur qui regarde par la fenêtre. La contre plongée est bien faite ainsi que la gestion de la lumière.

Again this fat man. Seeing him peeping through a window on the second floor could make me feel embarrased and ill at ease if he wasn't so grotesque that he rather makes me laugh. It was a clever and provocative place to leave him.
Thanks for sharing,

Hi Wolfgang, Another shot of this strange work of art. I like this big baby very much. Nice composition with the surrounding houses. Such an amusing view.

Sorry to be a bit late in reacting to this: I've been away for several weeks and am now trying to catch up. This is an amusing scene, well set up by the exhibition organisers, and well seen and composed by you. Out of context of the exhibition, this would be very surreal, and that's what attracted me to it in the first place. Good work.
