Photographer's Note
I always work with the existing light. I never use a flash. In this sense I am a purist. The partial light works best in dark environments. I saw the shadow of the arched windows on the wall and took a picture.
....The light is not reflected. It comes as natural light from the left through the window (not visible in photo).

Ciao Wolfgang
situazione ideale per sfruttare al meglio il B&W e tu non te la sei lasciata sfuggire.
Mi piace molto la persona, rende il tutto più naturale con sfumature oniriche, quasi da incubo.
Un gran bello scatto.
Saluti

Hello Wolfgang,
B&W was perfect for this contrasting shot. I love how the light from the windows produces the right angle on the floor.
The shadowy figure, in the b/g, makes a good focal point.
Very nicely presented.
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Hello Wolfgang,
A well constructed image that suits the black and white treatment perfectly. The silhouetted man in the doorway is the cherry on the cake. Splendid graphical image full of atmosphere.

Hello Wolfgang,
A very undramatic place dramatized by simple means by your clever use of the reflected light. I like how the two areas of semi-rounded light have been split in two by the differet levels of the wall and the doors. Having nothing really to do with the light, the man standing at the end of the corridor still brings a kind of magic into the scene by his posture and unexplained presence. But, as I said, it's all really very undramatic.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Wolfgang,
The man here, only his silhouette visible, creates certain tension in the picture, like a kind of "Bergman effect". Interesting shadows from the window here.
Kind regards

Wolfgang
looking at this for the first time, i can see right away the care and attention taken in the composition.
The rule of thirds is perfect, with the strong black vertical on the right and the smaller door on the left.
great style and creativity
the end result is excellent
cheers

Hello Wolfgang,
Indeed, this is all about the light. The silhouette of the man is well positioned in the frame and helps with giving a very good perspective. The light has made some interesting shapes on the wall and floor. This is an excellent subject for b/w - very well observed.
Kind Regards, Ann

Hallo Wolfgang,
wer - aßer dir käme schon auf die Idee, in so einem Flur ein Foto zu machen? Eher sehr wenige - aber dann noch so ein Knaller. Das ist nicht SW - sieht nur so aus oder?
Klasse Bild. Schönes Wochenende,
Thomas
