So many of you all have visited the large airport of Frankfurt. Last week I had an early encounter...5 am, just before the suits took of to all over Europe... I guess this corridor "normaly" is much more crowded. But who knows at an airport that never sleeps..
About the photo, I raised the iso and maybe it is too bit centred, I know some of you dont like it....

The light, the color the perspective...
lespicaros (5542) 2008-10-20 12:27
Belle perspective avec des couleurs qui accrochent
glasscafe (1040) 2008-10-20 12:29
Fantastic shot, and very good POV, the colours are really very brights and not usual in the airports.
Congratulations and greetings froma Madrid!

a great picture... a futurist picture! Really, the airport of Frankfurt is one of the best airports that I've visited.
bostankorkulugu (42330) 2008-10-20 12:59
this one pulls me in, cant take my eyes off of it stefan... i always love shots from metros, stations and airports but this one is so special... psychedelic indeed... my compliments...

Great perspective with beautiful colors .
Disabled_A (0) 2008-10-20 13:21
I like this original effect! I don't know the airport as I've never been to Frankfurt, but who knows... maybe one day..?
The red colour looks too bright for the eyes, but that's the essense of the unusual effect! In any case, good combination of red and greyish-silver colours. I like the perspective view, with the straight lines/stripes going far away... to cross somewhere behind the horizon!
rbassin (21785) 2008-10-20 13:24
Une très belle prise de vue,l'effet perspective est remarquable et en prime avec le rouge vif
qui dynamise cette photo.C'est bien fait.

Great tunnel effect here, I particularly like the strange colors and various reflections. Hypnotic view.
fkostas (454) 2008-10-20 19:28
I don't think centreing is an issue with this type of photo. The red light is great, as well as the great Stendhal/infinite Point of view and depth. It's almost like a vortex, sucking you in.
ktanska (26827) 2008-10-21 1:52
I think symmetry works perfectly on this. Those lines of light make a star like effect. Simple forms and odd red light give a strong scifi feeling. I like the Give Life text on the right too.

Wonderful ! Very nice capture with perfect pov and amazing light effect.

I spent two weeks in FKFT on 2004, honestly I don't remember this part. You took a nice shot, with excellent perspective and nice red dominant.
Sne011 (3084) 2008-10-21 5:08
Excellent, great work, I love it! I like those elevator scenes :) Great colors I'm tripping ;)
Kielia (24077) 2008-10-21 10:46
great idea and an excellent capture of this corridor. The light and the colours are amazing. The atmosphere of this place seems to be full of mystery! Congratulation!

impressive depth and I like the centred framing. Great lines and wonderful colors. Excellent work.
Have a nice evening

Hope nobody takes any notice of my humble association.... but isn't it a German cross in this image if you look carefully.
Liebling (109) 2008-10-21 18:49
Super Perspektive... die Farben sind super.
holmertz (49038) 2008-10-22 7:17
A superb composition, and quite contrary to the "rules" anything but a centred view would have been very wrong in this case. The simplicity of red and grey (turning on green) is really stunning. A very original picture.
zeynepe (0) 2008-10-22 7:22
Superb graphical effects , superb red light and reflecitons, I like how you centered the image also.
Congrats and have a nice day,

Well Well ! Very different from your usual kind of work and very very good Stefan. ! I hope you will do more things like this. The centering is optimal in my view for this, enhancing the tunnel like feeling. Those colors are superb, with subtle variations. Lots of mood, graphism, modernity. Sharp to the end and impeccable DOF. And that sign, on the right that says Give Life...a special addition. My compliments for excellent work!
Have a nice evening
jorgi (3810) 2008-10-22 11:35
sadly i'm not of those many who have visited Frankuft airport...or Frankfurt for that matter. But this image definitely sucks me in with centred position and gray red areas. Very dynamical effect...hypnotic if I may say so. I must say that despite the lack of people photo feels most vivid and moody. Great work!
MarianneS (15338) 2008-10-26 0:15
Super composition. I like the fact that it is not exactly symetric. The colours are very nice and create a specific atmosphere, not very typical for an airport I think.
Anyway, I like it.
saxo042 (37792) 2008-10-27 3:44
I looked for a long time here and saw what I later realised that Anders had already seen, namely the German Iron Cross. In this case the centration is just perfect, a really unique composition, very well observed.
boa (7039) 2008-11-06 0:07
fantastic futuristic look, in this well composed photo. Incredible depth, great symmetry, very effectful !
dumbo (4541) 2008-11-12 2:53
Did you really took this photo in 2008? I think that 2108 would be the right year=) Great colors, composition, reflections and light. Absolutely one of my favorites.
coco (30439) 2009-02-25 0:50
Excellent graphism and DOF. The light is great too.
deud (1920) 2009-02-25 1:02
IT'S OK WITH THIS CENTERED IMAGE.
ALL LINES GOES TO THIS CENTER!
speedymanu (3587) 2009-04-11 5:11
a superb graphic composition. The colors, the lines all concur to create a striking yet with a warm human touch result.
batalay (37861) 2009-04-24 3:53
When overwhelming symmetry exists, then it is good to accentuate the symmetry. I think this is exactly the way I would have shot this scene. It's a perfect demonstration of "one-point perspective." (I devoted one chapter in my book, "Math and the Mona Lisa," to various types of perspectives, patterns and shapes.) The people on the conveyor belt/sidewalk offer a little symmetry breaking that makes the image more interesting.
quillo (11850) 2011-05-19 7:22
An interesting miscellany of color,
symmetry and good taste in this photo
of the airport of Frankfurt,
the best this sensation of infinite depth
of the corridor, I like.
Felicidades amigo Stefan.
