Adam & Eve. Entrance of of Museum Künstlerkolonie (artists' colony)

Darmstadt is called the center of Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) created by Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig on the hill of the Mathildenhöhe in 1899. Here a short list of the beautiful buildings you could see today:

Hello Achim,

Interesting architecture with elegant lines!
The statues framing the entrance are eye-catchers, and I also notice the fine details in the doorway...
A well balanced composition, and the view is well framed by the foliage!

Good off-centre point of view to capture this lovely building. I like the framing by the trees and the way the eyes are drawn up the path through the imposing statues towards the beautifully decorated door. Excellent tones and clarity.

nun, mit der Treppe bleiben beide ihr Leben lang verbunden und daher voneinander getrennt. Schön versetzt und den Baum mit eingebunden im Bild. Das Licht spielt schön auf dem Eingang.

je n'aurais jamais placé ce genre de bâtiment en Allemagne.
Mais la note explique bine tout.
Un excellent cadrage avec des arbres à gauche et à droite.
Parfaites lumières aussi.
La prise ne manque pas de netteté.

very nice angle. Instead of the frontal catch as you did in "National Memorial Patuxay" post, here you make good use of the trees as the natural framing. Sharpness is superb. Great job!

Achim, j'aime la composition de cette photo. Il en ressort une impression d'équilibre et de paix. Tu as bien fait de ne pas centrer le cliché sur l'entrée du musée.
