Photographer’s Note

In the beginning of the 20th Century Darmstadt was an important centre for the art movement of Jugendstil, the German variant of Art Nouveau. Annual architectural competitions led to the buildings of many architectural treasures of this period.

Also today you find some architectural beauties here seen at the Rubinweg in Darmstadt, a Evangelist Kindergarten built in 2006.

It is a very good picture with a strong graphic impact. The colours of the windows and the over all sharpness is really determinant in the quality of the shot. Very well done.

Tolles graphisches Effekt ! Es scheint dass der sogenannte sechste Sinn heute ein Spielchen gespeşt hat. Ich habe auch heute aus der Reihe getanzt, bei Dir ist es auch aehnlich !

i love this type of archtecture, not sure but i think i have seen this before. I lived (my parents still do) in Dreieich and went was in Darmstadt many times.
Wonderful clear shot with outstanding colour definition!

We have a highschool that has used the same colours on the windows and pillars. However there are trees and a high fence - so impossible to make a good picture.
This is lovely - deep blue sky - reflections in the windows--- will have a look in your galerie later.

Hi, Achim. A nice graphic image with good contrasts between the lower and central parts. I also like the reflections in the windows, but I think what makes the picture are the colored window frames which really stand out against the black rectangles.

Less is more, this architectural philosophy can be seen in your photo, the simplicity of this building makes it more spectacular.

Hello Achim -

This is graph-ism at it's height. The colors only accent the graphic nature of the building and the image. All of the technical stuff looks to be spot on, but more important the image is sharp with precise focus. Had either focus or sharpness been a touch off the image would have failed. Well done!!
