Hamburg, Speicherstadt, by the waterfront. Here is a very small part of the huge area filled with similar looking brick warehouses, surrounded by canals, and today used for a number of different modern purposes, including theater, restaurants, the largest maritime museum in the world and much more.
It is a place with a distinct beauty.
From Wikipedia: The Speicherstadt (lit. city of warehouses, meaning warehouse district) in Hamburg, Germany is the largest timber-pile founded warehouse district in the world. It is located in the port of Hamburg—within the HafenCity quarter—and was built from 1883 to 1927.
The district was built as a free zone to transfer goods without paying customs. As of 2009 the district and the surrounding area is under redevelopment.

Wonderful architecture! And the excellent light gives very nice colors to the image! The reflection of the buildings on the water is great! Beautiful composition! Very good job!

a very attractive, intriguing and imposing view along the old warehouses. Having learnt that what we see is only "a very small part of the huge area filled with similar looking brick warehouses" makes this view even more impressive. The perspective is wonderful and the repetition of architectural details creates a fine graphism. I'm not very sure about the overexposed bridge but don't know how it might have been avoided. What I enjoy the most is the part where the water meets the building and the way the light runs along the wall making us realize that this isn't monochrome. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great weekend,

una bella architettura con un bellissimo riflesso, forse avrei preferito un taglio verticale tagliando la parte troppo bianca.

Hi Goran. A vibrant image full of light and warmth, despite the originally dreary functionality of the buildings. The warm light and the pleasant palette have transformed the place into a thing of beauty.Regards. Klaudio.
