Photographer’s Note

Here a guestroom one of those wonderfull houses of Worpswede. Most probably it belonged to an artist (a painter or sculptor) who does not live any more. The house is been kept as an arts gallery.

Worpswede is a municipality in the district of Osterholz, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated in the Teufelsmoor (devil's bog), northeast of Bremen. The small town itself is located near the Weyerberg. It has been the home to a lively artistic community since the end of the 19th century, with over 130 artists and craftsmen working there.

Bremen civarındaki Worpswede’nin şirin evlerinden bir görüntü. Çok büyük bir ihtimalle bu ev de –oradaki pek çokları gibi- artık hayatta olmayan bir sanatçıya (ressam veya heykeltraş) aitti . Ev şimdilerde sadece bir sanat galerisi olarak korunuyor.

Worpswede, Almanyanın aşağı Saksonya yöresinde, Ozterholz bölgesinde bir yerleşim birimi. Bremen’in kuzeydoğusundaki Teufelsmoor (şeytan bataklığı) –Weyersberg- yöresinde yer alır. Ondokuzuncu yüzyılın sonlarından itibaren buraya çok sayıda sanatçı yerleşmiş ve bir tarihde köydeki her evde , sayıları 130’a yaklaşan sanatçı yaşamış, sanatlarını icra etmişler.
Şimdilerde ise bir açık hava sanat müzesi halini almış köy.

Hallo Mesut!
Wo du schon überall herumgekommen bist! Worpswede, das Künstlerdorf. Dieses Foto ist - schon in der kleinen Version - irgendwie anziehend und es gibt der Fantasie viel Raum. Zu dem Sessel braucht man eigentlich nur noch ein Buch und ein Glas Wein ...

First I wondered, what kind of Swede is this ;-) But this is a very fine capture of stillness and peace, the treatment of light here is perfect. A very good picture and of course a very good scan!

Hi, Mesut. What I appreciate most in this image is the light management. You've managed to render the atmosphere of the room very well and give us a good view of the garden and the roofs outside. I really have the impression to be inside the room contemplating the scene. Excellent work.

Bonjour Mesut,
des lumières bien capturées, difficiles; La texture du bois est tellement bien rendue.
Quand on pense que cette photo est scannée, on devine la qualité des films, ce qui n'enlève rien au mérite du photographe.
