[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the Frauenkirche, literaly "Church of Women". It is actually the symbol of the city of München, with its particular tower bells, high more than 100 meters. The shot was taken from the tower bell of the St. Peter church. The Frauenkirche was built between 1468 and 1488 formerly by Jörg von Halsbach and later by Lucas Rottaler. Near the horizon line, on the right, it is visible the Olympiaturm a 291 meters high tower built in 1968.

Ciao Gabriele,

Thanks for sharing
Günther

Hi Gabriele
Indeed, the symbol of this brilliant town. Love your POV which has led to good composition. Everything is nice and sharp in the picture. Nice one.
Best wishes
Mark

Ciao Gabriele,

Hi Gabriele,
Good shot of Frauenkirche taken from the tower of St. Peter. Nice light color & saturation. I also have a photo of Frauenkirche from almost a similar POV. I find taking photos from the ground level is more difficult because of highly contrasting light and distortion factor ... and the PP work is a real challenge. The cloudless sky of Munich also doesn't help. TFS. Regards. Latiff.

Hello Gabriele,
a good and precise photo of the probably most known building of Munich. I think you had the optimal weather since the colours are true and in absence of harsh lights and shadows all details are well visible.
By the way: "Frauenkirche" does not mean "Church of Women". It is an abbreviation of "Dom zu Unserer Lieben Frau" that means "Cathedral of Our Blessed Lady" or "Cattedrale di Nostra Signora".
Best whishes
Laszlo
