A birdseye view capture taken from the tower of the Rathaus. Here you can see the perfect disciplined city planning of Munich. Nothing much, nothing less.
Almost like a Lego !
Bu kare Münich'in ünlü Rathaus'unun kulesinden çekildi.
Bu kuş gözü görüntü şehir planlamasının ne demek olduğunun canlı belgesi. Hiçbirşey fazla ya da aşırı değil, herşey bir plan çerçevesinde. Sanki bir Lego !

I love this view. As you say it looks like a Leggo model from this viewing position. Very clear detail throughout the image.
PaulVDV (30739) 2013-12-08 2:42
Well, these birds see us as very small creatures.
The tower of the city hall must have been very high since you could look down on the roof of a building of 5 floors.
A city seen from above, always provides impressive images.
Above the rooftops, I discover a row of intriguing very colourful facades ...
Best regards, Paul

bella e particolare sia per i colori che per l'inconsueto punto di ripresa che crea una composizione assai originale.
Ottima la nitidezzza e straordinarie le macchie di colore che punteggiano la piazza.
Ciao e buona domenica

jacquest (18967) 2013-12-08 5:11
An impressive view of this animated place and colorful buildings as the birds see it. The light makes for well rendered colors and a good sharpness of the details. If I could only fly ...

It is indeed like Lego, and if you gave me a large bucket of Lego now, this is exactly the kind of thing I would build! A beautiful view over the square, a very unusual and perfectly achieved composition. I like that the rooftops of the buildings are as nice as the facades too, I am too often disappointed with the views from above in Dublin.
All the best

Merhaba Sevgili Mesut,
In archaeology, as you know, a surface excavation is likened to a cat's eye-view of a (Turkish) carpet, and an areal photograph is likened to a human eye-view. You can appreciate the patterns from above, but not from the surface, in the manner of a cat. So it is in this photo, the bird's eye-view vs. the human eye-view... taken to a different order. Wonderful photo, Mesut.
Highmountains (2674) 2013-12-08 6:58
Great that you found this fantastic position. Hence the great perspective.
Excellent clarity and sharpness - right from the roof down to the people in street below.
The colours are bright and quite saturated.
There seems to be a gathering in front of the monument in the foreground. There are a lot of details to admire and appreciate. Why don't more people wear more colourful tops - here most people wear black and a few people with red ....
Thanks for sharing, Mesut.

Thats right, it looks like made of Lego bricks, Fantastic photo, perfectly planned and composed
annjackman (21901) 2013-12-08 9:51
This is taken from an excellnt viewpoint. I love the ant-like people and the crispness of the image. The colours of the buildings and the tables on the square all come together to make this a strikingly good image.
Kind Regards, Ann

Strange and surprising patterns are found when watching people and streets from high above. Personally I find it much more fun to watch straight down instead of looking at the wider view. This is a lovely and entertaining shot with a lot to discover. And those buildings are very nice too.
Fis2 (102384) 2013-12-08 10:45
A very interesting POV and composition.
Very impressive picture!
kato (11630) 2013-12-08 11:25
You're capturing well this place by a good angle an very excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the cityscape of Munich from the tower. It's beautiful spectaccle with tasteful four buildings and the wide square in frony of them. There are many people and some decorations on square, and it's effective to see. Anyway, very original good photograph!
adramad (47690) 2013-12-08 13:18
A great POV, and very original with this view of the square captured from high altitude, people almost look like ants, curious perspective of buildings, which almost do not seem real.
A colorful perfect very natural.
A bright image with optimum clarity.
Well done. I Like
Have a good start to the week.
yquem46 (38752) 2013-12-08 13:43
Well actually, as concerns pigeons, they see us most of the time from the ground !!
I like this view from above letting us see the walkers, the yellow houses, the terraces with blue umbrellas.....
I think personally that I'd have cropped the top at the very end of the roof
have a nice sunday evening, best regards
jcpix (13930) 2013-12-08 16:43
Fascinating perspective Mesut, a first time seeing this Munich square in such a way. I'm really enjoying the originality here, it appears more like a miniature set specifically put together for a macro type shot. So many fun aspects to this image, along with great clarity, color and detail throughout. Congratulations on a terrific shot, this has big impact from start to finish. Have a great day ahead.

willperrett (11464) 2013-12-09 10:52
Your use of the wide-angle has created a real sense of vertigo here! Excellent framing and composition. People as ants!

Warm greetings from southern Spain.
ikeharel (74791) 2013-12-09 11:35
A marvelous view on town from the high point, Mesut, taken with fine light and good sharp details appear.
Great composition managed, people on the square scale the whole. An exquisite picture.
s_lush (16596) 2013-12-09 12:49
You have found a very favorable point of view and interesting composition to take this high-quality and good on its composition picture. The architecture, street design and city's general atmosphere are represented by you perfectly. Excellent job!

notu okumadan bile "aynı lego gibi" dedim içimden... seviyorum münih'i, belki alman ama az biraz italyan havası yüzünden... boşuna demiyorlar "en kuzeydeki italyan şehri" diye...
( kareye kılım o ayrı! :P )
chawax (20758) 2013-12-10 10:52
Good POV ! As you said the city looks like a Lego from there. Good sharpness, good colours.
kwekwekan (1078) 2013-12-10 11:24
Excellent POV, composition and use of a wide angle lens to create this bird's eye view. You have managed to take a very creative image from a popular vantage point. Nice clarity and sharpness as well.
Hansaphotos (8331) 2013-12-10 12:41
Fascinating downwards view of this square. Excellent composition with several interesting elements. Great sharpness and fine colours. Lovely work:) Thanks.
Have a nice evening.

three uploads ago I have showed a photo taken from the same tower but in opposite direction :)
I love Munich and this photo shows a place where I went for a first date with my wife many years ago.
Great geometry here, good light and vivid colors in spite of difficult conditions.
ourania (48802) 2013-12-11 14:26
Hello dear Mesut,
I love Munich and your picture shows its fine colours and atmosphere exactly as I've enjoyed and remember them. Your composition is original and vertiginous, the group of buildings look fascinating from this perspective. The street scene is very attractive and with its effective sense of movement complements the dynamic setting superbly. Depth, sharpness and lighting are wonderful. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,
npecanhuk (75696) 2013-12-11 18:15
Very interesting and attractive picture, specially for its chosen pov and composition! Sharpness, exposure and colors also pleased me!
Nice to see those "ants" down there!
Those façades look beautiful too! They're modern, but they look old fashioned, with class!
TFS - congrats,
Buin (42468) 2013-12-13 11:01
macjake (70519) 2013-12-17 0:58
yes, certainly a birds eye view, and one that our dear friend John (tyro) would not enjoy :)
for me though, and perhaps for you, its a joyful occasion, the perfect opportunity to take this photo.
love the viewpoint, the downward pull, yet the buildings are so vertical.
josepmarin (58359) 2013-12-19 2:46
Merhaba, my friend Mesut,
oh yes, this must be the true view of a bird!! This high-angle shot is perfectly executed, you have reached a good perspective and a breathtaking view on the square and the people as ants.
The sharpness and the quality of light and of colours is great.
A gorgeous work.
adores (46079) 2013-12-19 15:06
It seems a really high place and the view is fantastic! I like the pov and how the people seem so small from the top. So much life going on down there. A very good capture!
rigoletto (34279) 2013-12-25 13:04
haydaa, ben bu münih'e yazdım sanıyordum! kare formatın gücü adına, müthiş bir "bakış". her şeyin planlı olması biraz sinir bozucu ama bizdeki gibi hiçbir şeyin planlı olmamasından iyidir :)
fds (9547) 2013-12-29 1:16
ciao dear mesut very nice composition from Munich tacke a great point of view
i kcnow very well Munich i visit this in 1989 2003 and 1996 very beautiful city
worldcitizen (9006) 2013-12-29 13:13
This photo brings back memories from my trip to Munich many years ago. I also took photos of the same view. I like the bright facades, and all of the activity below. I can spend a while looking at the details: the closed blue umbrellas, the entrance to the underground station, and the patterns on the ground. I wish you a wonderful new year 2014!!
