Photographer’s Note

Last Monday I visited Bischofsheim, a small town in the very north of Bavaria. On the market place there I saw this beautiful decoration in front of a half-timbered old house - a homey restaurant (please see workshop photo). Do you see the sign "hausgemachte Bratkartoffeln" (= home made fried potatoes) left hand? Delicious!!! ;-))

Today this arrangement unfortunately will look quite different because last night we have had frost - also there - of -4°C ...

PS. Today I'll go by train to Warsaw... Yesterday the train was going 10 hours (app. 300 km). I hope today time of my journey will be shorter...

Ein gutes Beispiel dafuer wie man einen alten ausgedienten Kuechenherd bewerten kann ! Wie den anderen "alten" zu bewerten; na ja das ist noch schwieriger !!!
Hier herrscht absolute "Lebensfreude" !

Hello Frank,
You have captured a lovely still life in this fine composition. The old stove makes a splendid centrepiece for the colourful flowers. Very good colours and sharpness. The thought of home made fried potatoes is mouth watering :-) Greetings from a cold and bright Charente-Maritime, which also experienced overnight frost.

Every nation has its typical reastaurants and food, we have pizza and you have home made fried potatos! (:-)
This is surely a delightful composition which shows one of the best way to advertise a restaurant. The image has an excellent clarity and a lot of interesting things to focus our eyes on. The various flowers offer us a lovely colours palette.
A very good choiche and achievement,

Mon attention est collee sur l'ancienne cousiniere. Chez nous elle est produite a Smederevo et on l'appelle "Smederevatz".

en effet une belle décoration automnale avec cette vieille cuisinière de bois et je pense aux bouillotes ou bouilloires sur les plaques....

Bonjour Frank,
une compo simple et séduisante, certes par le sommet sur le plan technique, mais le sujet est accrocheur, j'apprécie que l'on fête encore certains événements naturels, comme la venue de l'automne.
Très jolies couleurs.
