Photographer’s Note

Würzburg is a city in the region of Franconia which lies in the northern tip of Bavaria, Germany. Located on the Main River, it is the capital of the Regierungsbezirk Unterfranken.
The Old Main Bridge (Alte Mainbrücke) in Würzburg, lined with Baroque statues of saints, leads to the districts on the left bank of the Main. From the bridge can be seen the Alter Krahnen (Old Crane; 1773) and the Würzburg Congress Center. On the left bank, below the Marienberg, are the parish church of St Burkard (11th, 12th and 15th C.) and the Burkarder Tor.
This shot was taken from the Marienberg fortress grounds after a brisk walk up from the riverside. The view was outstanding and well worth the climb!

Bonjour Asa,
une vue qui montre avec beaucoup de profondeur, cette petite villeet tout ce qui l'entoure. Un petit manque de netteté et des blancs un peu trop exposés.

What a lovely panorama view about this splendid city.
The Baroque bridge is indeed a very beautiful construction, I think that these bridge during WORLD WAR II became bombarded.
Very nice composition, sharpness and clarity are superb. TFS.

A beautiful view of this city! Your point of view with the bridge, leading the eyes to the other riverbank, was chosen skillfully. The green slopes in the background create a wonderful contrast to the red roofs.

Which nice viewing angle. By air? or in inflatable ball? It doesn't much matter roofs are superb and thrown into relief well. Good adjustments of camera to acquire a clear focus in the made well infinity and nice concept. Bravo Réal of French Quebec. Canada.

This fortress is a good place to get a comprehensive view of the city, the overall impression is good, just some highlights are pushed at the extremes pn the houses on both sides of the river.

Wonderful panaoramic view of the beautiful old German city with the lovely traditional homes linning the backs of the river and wonderfully framing the beautiful arched bridge.
The colors are sparkling with fine sharpness and details to this lovely scene.

What a beautiful panorama. The time was superb to the photography, the details can be seen. Architectural detail with number pleasure visible, particularly likes the old stone-bridge. The green fields behind the city close the composition wonderfully. Superb photo. Have a nice weekend

The city is so nicely located along the river!
Back in medieval times the waterways were even more important than today, for utility purposes, and a town without a river could never grow really important...
I like the point of view, making the river and bridge crossing diagonals!

I really like this high viewpoint where we have this general sight of the place, with so many interesting details, with excellent technical qualities as well! The bridge and the main church are the highlights in this cityscape in my opinion!

A nice point of view on the river and bridge. I just regret that the colorsare a bit muted here.
