Photographer’s Note
This is one of the many statues that are located on the old stone bridge in Würzburg. The shot was taken in early evening with angled sun light.
The Old Main Bridge (Alte Mainbrücke) in Würzburg, lined with Baroque statues of saints, leads to the districts on the left bank of the Main. From the bridge can be seen the Alter Krahnen (Old Crane; 1773) and the Würzburg Congress Center. On the left bank, below the Marienberg, are the parish church of St Burkard (11th, 12th and 15th C.) and the Burkarder Tor.

hi Asa
Very good composed view of the stone bridge and showing a nice row of colorful buildings and you have exposed the scene very nicely even under unfavorable sky and light. Amazing how the light is giving good clarity to the buildings.

Hello Asa,
A well constructed and thoughtful composition, enabling us to appreciate both statue and surroundings in exquisite detail. Good range of colour contrasts under a rather heavy sky.

Hello Asa
You've done a great use of the roundness of the bridge to give relief at your picture, it's very well thought. Despite the weak light, you succeed to bring the strong colors of the facades out and the fine quality reveals many details.
I visited Heidelberg a few months ago, and I'm very surprising of the similarity between this bridge and the architecture of the Alte Brücke...
Very pleasant composition, well done.

A bright sunshine that lit the bridge and the fine row of houses makes a beautiful contrasts with the cloudy sky and the dark water. It's a composition which has the merit of showing an interesting architecture from a good pov and under the best conditions.

Although we can't see all the bridge it is very reminiscent of Charles Bridge in Prague with its statues of saints. The composition works well to include the colourful buildings along the river bank.

Hi Asa,
A very good choise of POV, where the bridge plays an essential role in your composition. But I can´t help wondering what this city looked like before that night in March, 1945, when everything was bombed.
Kind regards

Hi Asa,
Great PoV indeed! And a very nice light, that produces a superb clarity and makes the colourful façades stand out. I like the L shaped visual path created by the bridge and the row of sunned buildings. The statue of the FG seems to dominate the part of the town we don't see and it's very well placed in the compo.

Hello Asa
Very nice how you composed this image. The statue on the right serves as a good anchor & the bridge as a good perspective leading us to the row of buildings with pastel shades and red roofs, leading to the green fields, all under the cloudy sky. The spire of the church also is an attention grabber. Good work & an informative note!

Bonjour Asa,
Daniel.

Hi Asa,
A lot of balance in this picture, I appreciate much the development of the place and use of the bridge in perspective. The polarizing filter has played its role and provides beautiful colors in the image, especially at the sky and river. It is very pleasant to detail the photo, thank you Asa.

Hi Asa,
The trees are framing well the street. The point of view leads our eyes towards the buildings in the background wich is giving depth to the photo. The diagonal line made by the stone bridge is an asset to the composition. The good luminosity brings out the colors of the scenery. Have a nice day.

Hello Asa,
This is a genuinely beautiful image, well composed and flawlessly exposed. In some of the oldest bridges, dating to the late medieval period there are often small chapels where travelers could pause and pray. Have you seen any in Germany (as I know they exist in a couple of places in England)? The note is informative and a pleasure to read.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hello Asa,
an example for the fact that sometimes a cloudy sky is more attractive than a clear blue one, I think it fits better to this landscape. I like the depth of this photo as well.

Ciao Asa!
Sono colpito dalla bellezza dei colori e della saturazione cromatica! Belli i verdi della natura, il grigio del cielo i rossi dei tetti! Ottima definizione, bella l'infilata di case che taglia in orizzontale l'immaggine.

Very nice perspective. Also the sky, even when cloudy, it looks really good. It would be perfect for me, if there were no people on the right side, but I know that at that time it is impossible.
