Photographer’s Note
Hofgartentor - the south gate to the garden of the Residence, Wurzburg. The gate was the work of Johann Georg Oegg and his son, Georg. The background shows the towers of the cathedral and town hall.
The garden was designed predominantly in the English style by Johann Prokop Mayer in 1770. Mayer set out garden sections which either lay parallel, cut across one another, or were angled in strict geometrical design but towards the southwest in the English style. The garden perfectly complemented and enhanced the the unique architecture of the Residence designed by Balthasar Neumann.
Garden of The Residence:
East Garden I.
East Garden II with the eastern facade of the Residence.
Shot in the late afternoon.

Indeed a lovely place. Good view along the alley, with excellent quality and a great POV. It's a wonderful shot.
Best wishes,

Latiff,
I see that we are posting the from the same place this week! This is a beautiful place but when we had our tour the weather was not good. By the late afternoon the weather had cleared and offered a little sunshine which I was able to take advantage of.
This is a nice shot of this fine garden. Your composition is fine using the line of trees to lead the eye into the shot. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and DOF.
TFS,
Asa
